Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1+ year of food service or short-order cooking experience preferred
valid California Food Handler Card required
California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification from ABC required
ability to engage with members, guests, and staff demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
proficiency with basic computer applications
Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred
ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally push or pull up to 50 pounds
ability to work independently without direct supervision
ability to communicate calmly with upset individuals
commitment to uphold health and safety standards
willingness to work in varied indoor and outdoor environments including temperature extremes
dependability and punctuality

Job Qualifications

country club or golf course experience preferred
1+ year of food service or short-order cooking experience preferred
valid California Food Handler Card required
California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification from ABC required
CPR/AED certification preferred
ability to engage with members, guests, and staff demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
proficiency with basic computer applications
Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred

Job Duties

Warmly welcome and engage members and guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
manage reservations and seating flow to balance member preferences with operational needs and service pacing
exercise discretion and tact when approving or denying seating requests, using diplomacy to support both member satisfaction and staff efficiency
coordinate closely with servers, bartenders, and managers to communicate table status, special requests, and service priorities
respond promptly and professionally to member inquiries or concerns, resolving issues independently when possible and escalating appropriately when needed
maintain cleanliness and presentation of entry areas, patios, and restrooms throughout service
ensure menus and promotional materials are clean, accurate, and presented appropriately
monitor dining room activity to anticipate needs, adjust seating, and maintain an even service flow
assist with to-go orders to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality presentation
support service staff as needed, including delivering items to tables or assisting during high-volume periods
uphold member confidentiality and maintain the professional standards expected in a private club setting
