Job Requirements

  • Prior related experience preferred
  • reliable transportation to and from work
  • ability to communicate effectively in English with guests as well as all levels of employees in both verbal and written form in a professional manner
  • ability to manipulate the MICROS POS system and accurately input orders and post transactions
  • ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • ability to provide direction in a fast-paced environment
  • manage time effectively and work well in a team environment
  • must possess excellent customer relations, sales, and communication skills
  • must possess at all times during employment a valid Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit
  • a desire to learn, grow, and a passion for progress in this career

Job Duties

  • Arrive at work on time and in proper uniform, prepared to execute exceptional shifts
  • open the door for guests
  • keep lines from forming at the door
  • answer incoming reservation calls
  • complete reservations in the computerized reservation system
  • keep abreast of all food and beverage venues and menus
  • perform other related duties as assigned
  • greet guests in a warm and friendly manner
  • answer the telephone and facilitate guest requests
  • using the table management system, manage incoming reservations and venue floor
  • bid all guests farewell and invite them back to Stanford's
  • assist with daily administrative work as per direction of the venue manager
