Job Description

Venu Holding Corporation (Venu) is a premier hospitality company dedicated to setting the gold standard for fine dining in Colorado. Venu is renowned for its commitment to unreasonable hospitality, sourcing locally rooted ingredients, and delivering unwavering excellence in every detail. As a company, Venu partners with local Colorado farmers, ranchers, and artisans to ensure that every dish served features exceptional, fresh ingredients. Their unique approach transforms the classic American steakhouse experience into something personal, connected, and memorable. Venu's restaurants operate with a philosophy of deeply personal service, making every guest feel seen, heard, and cared for as if dining at the home of an old friend. The emphasis is on hospitality as a dialogue, creating a space where guests, vendors, and staff form a shared story centered on belonging and extraordinary dining beyond just the food. Venu is committed to diversity and complies with all laws prohibiting discrimination in its hiring practices.

The role of Host at Venu is crucial in delivering the exceptional guest experience that defines the company's brand. This hourly, non-exempt position, with a pay rate ranging from $16 to $18 per hour, is based on-site at the Colorado Springs location and falls under the Operations Department. Reporting directly to the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Restaurant Manager, the Host serves as the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for setting the welcoming tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The Host goes beyond traditional greeting and seating duties, orchestrating the overall flow of service, managing reservations using the SevenRooms system, and ensuring smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams. This role requires a polished, professional demeanor and the ability to anticipate guest needs and preferences, including personalized attention to repeat and VIP guests. Organizational skills, time management, and handling high-pressure environments gracefully are essential traits for success in this role. Venu offers a dynamic work environment within a fine dining setting, where the Host will play a key role in exceeding guest expectations and enhancing the reputation of the establishment. Opportunities for career development, unique training, daily staff meals, and working with a passionate, collaborative team are among the benefits offered. This position also demands availability for nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with physical requirements that support active engagement throughout shifts.

  • must be able to lift and transport up to 50 pounds on occasion
  • must be able to tolerate and work in various kitchen environments, including high temperatures and humidity near cooking equipment, cold conditions in walk-in coolers and freezers, noisy, fast-paced environments with frequent interruptions
