Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- must be able to personally lift up to 20 lbs on a frequent basis
- must be able to occasionally lift over 40 lbs with assistance
- must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces and reach on a continuous basis
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- must have the legal right to work in the country

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- professionalism and a positive attitude
- ability to lead and train staff
- knowledge of reservation systems and telephone etiquette is a plus
Job Duties
- Clock in and check in with the manager-on-duty
- greet and welcome every guest as they enter the lodge restaurants
- acknowledge and thank all guests as they depart
- confirm the number of people in each party and inquire about special needs or requests
- record necessary information on waiting lists when the restaurant is full
- use proper paging procedures when paging anyone when a wait list is active
- escort every guest to the table, hand out menus, and ensure tables are properly set up
- ensure even seating of the restaurant by seating tables in proper rotation
- maximize the seating of the restaurant by putting two’s on two-top and managing seating efficiently
- use proper telephone procedures
- assist servers with refilling beverages and clearing tables as directed by the manager-on-duty
- complete assigned side work such as trading out menus at shift change and stocking supplies
- comply with all Sunriver policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- train and welcome new hosts and hostesses
- lead and direct the flow of service and reservations by coaching host team members
- communicate guest information and feedback with the manager-on-duty
- other duties as assigned
