Established as a household name in the restaurant industry, The Cheesecake Factory operates over 370 restaurants across the United States and Canada under several celebrated brands, including The Cheesecake Factory, North Italia, Flower Child, and other FRC brands. Additionally, the company runs two bakery facilities dedicated to producing high-quality cheesecakes and baked goods, supplying both their own restaurants and international licensees. Since 2014, The Cheesecake Factory has consistently been named to FORTUNE Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For" list, reflecting its commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment.
As a Host at The Cheesecake Factory, you will be the face of the restaurant, providing guests with a warm, friendly welcome that sets the tone for their dining experience. This role requires a genuine passion for hospitality combined with excellent communication skills and a supportive teamwork attitude. The primary duties focus on greeting and seating guests efficiently and courteously, managing reservations, and maintaining an accurate waitlist. During busy periods, you'll quote wait times with confidence, engage guests in pleasant conversation, and encourage them to explore the menu or bakery offerings. You will also handle phone inquiries promptly and assist with front-of-house operations to ensure a smooth guest experience from arrival to departure.
In this position, the emphasis is on multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization and cleanliness. You will be expected to follow detailed instructions and demonstrate ownership of sidework and closing tasks. The company values dependability, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude, especially in managing the physical demands of the role, such as standing for extended periods and lifting up to 35 pounds.
Working at The Cheesecake Factory means access to steady hours in a high-volume restaurant with flexible scheduling options, including both full-time and part-time opportunities. Employees benefit from fast pay options, meal discounts during shifts, and additional discounts when dining with friends and family. The company also offers a comprehensive benefits package, featuring paid vacation and sick time, medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage options, with medical premiums starting as low as $12 per pay period. Additional perks include virtual care and no-cost online mental health services.
The Cheesecake Factory is committed to employee growth, offering world-class training programs designed to foster both personal and professional development. Many managers are promoted from within, demonstrating the company’s dedication to career progression. Opportunities to pursue no-cost GED or Associate Degree programs are also available to support further education.
Beyond benefits and career growth, working with The Cheesecake Factory means joining a community-focused, award-winning employer. Employees enjoy perks such as discounts on cell phones, gym memberships, movies, and theme parks, as well as recognition through awards and an emergency hardship fund. The company encourages its team members to give back through community and charity events, promoting a culture of inclusivity and care.
The Cheesecake Factory is an equal opportunity employer that embraces diversity and inclusivity, welcoming applicants from a broad spectrum of backgrounds and experiences. Reasonable accommodations are offered to applicants with disabilities, fostering a workplace where all employees can thrive. Joining The Cheesecake Factory means becoming part of a passionate team dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences and continuously striving for excellence in hospitality.
