The Host position at The Quail is an essential role within the Food & Beverage team, focusing on creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests. The host is the first point of contact and plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless dining experience from arrival through departure. This position involves managing the OpenTable reservation system, greeting guests by name whenever possible, coordinating seating arrangements, and assisting in maintaining the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the dining area. The host also answers telephone inquiries using established communication protocols and supports the service team by clearing and resetting tables as well as serving food and beverages when necessary.   • Must be able to work early morning, day, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed
  • Prior experience in food and beverage
  • Food Handlers Certification preferred
  • Responsible Beverage Service Certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure that open table reservation system is operational and accurate at all times
  • Greet guests by name whenever possible and seat them at tables or in waiting areas
  • Answer the telephone using established verbiage
  • Clear and reset tables, clean service area, and serve food and beverages as required
