Job Description

The Quail is a highly prestigious hotel located in the scenic Carmel Valley, California. We are currently seeking a Host to join our outstanding Food & Beverage team at The Quail. The Host will play a pivotal role in ensuring every guest receives a warm and seamless dining experience. This position calls for a friendly and organized individual who can efficiently manage the reservation system, greet and seat guests with professionalism and warmth, and assist with various service tasks to uphold the high standards of our establishment. The role offers an excellent opportunity for those with experience or interest in food and beverage to advance their career in a dynamic and supportive hospitality environment.

The Host will be responsible for managing the OpenTable reservation system to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Greeting guests by name whenever possible, seating them promptly, and managing waiting areas are key components of the role. Additionally, answering telephones with established verbiage to ensure clear communication and professionalism is required. The Host will also assist with clearing and resetting tables, maintaining cleanliness in the service area, and serving food and beverages as needed, contributing to an outstanding guest experience.

This role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, days, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the needs of The Quail’s guests.
