Job Description
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews is a popular, full-service restaurant known for its laid-back atmosphere, uniquely quirky vibe, and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Established as a high-volume restaurant concept, Red Robin prides itself on inspiring guests with creative and delicious burgers beyond the ordinary. The company's mission is centered around freshness, fun, memorability, and making every guest smile. With a welcoming culture that values a sense of belonging, Red Robin embraces both similarities and differences among its team members and guests, promoting an inclusive environment that is for everyone. Their signature dishes, like the world-famous steak fries, are served with a generous dose of connection and hospitality that reflects the vibrant spirit of the brand.
The Host position at Red Robin is an integral part of the Front of House service team. This role is designed for individuals who possess magnetic personalities, unbridled energy, and a passion for creating fun and memorable experiences for guests. The primary responsibility of a Host includes welcoming guests with a friendly demeanor, providing a great first impression, and efficiently managing guest seating by escorting them to their tables. Additionally, the Host takes reservations and manages the waitlist when necessary, ensuring smooth flow and optimal seating arrangements within the restaurant. The position requires excellent customer service skills, as Hosts are often the first point of contact for guests and play a vital role in setting the tone for the dining experience.
Eligible candidates must be at least 17 years old to work in this role. Red Robin offers flexible work schedules to accommodate various personal needs and commitments. The compensation range for this position is $18.45 to $19.98 per hour, highlighting competitive wages within the hospitality industry. Hosts also enjoy numerous benefits including a 50% discount on Red Robin food and a 25% discount for family members, making it a rewarding role both professionally and personally. Beyond pay, employees have access to referral bonuses for bringing new team members, an employee stock purchase program after one year of service, and comprehensive health insurance options including medical, vision, dental, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity coverage for those aged 18 and above. Retirement benefits include a 401k plan with a company match of up to 4% of pay, available to employees aged 21 and over with qualifying tenure and hours. Paid time off accrues at a rate of 0.0192 hours per hour worked after one year of employment with sufficient weekly hours.
Red Robin fosters an atmosphere that encourages growth and career advancement, with many management personnel having started as hourly team members themselves. The restaurant believes in providing excellent opportunities to grow alongside the company. Through the use of modern technology, including an automated decision system for applicant assessments and AI-driven communications, Red Robin streamlines its recruitment process to find the best fit for each role while accommodating diverse candidate needs. Joining Red Robin means becoming part of a team that values hospitality, fun, and an inclusive, welcoming culture that celebrates individuality and teamwork alike.
