Currently, Golden Corral is seeking energetic and friendly Host team members to join their franchise team. The Host position is a vital part of the customer experience because the first and last impressions made on guests can ultimately determine whether they will return. Hosts serve as the initial point of contact for guests entering the restaurant, greeting them warmly and guiding them through the seating process efficiently. This role requires a focus on providing sincere, personal invitations to guests both upon arrival and departure, ensuring they feel welcomed and appreciated. Hosts are expected to assist guests with any needs, handle phone inquiries in a courteous manner, and provide clear instructions about the buffet.
The ideal Candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times. In addition to greeting guests, Hosts ensure guests are seated promptly by following established seating protocols and helping guests understand the buffet offerings and pricing. Knowledge of the menu and daily buffet selections is essential to answer guest questions and enhance their dining experience. Beyond guest interaction, Hosts help maintain cleanliness and organization around the vestibule, host station, and surrounding areas. They may assist with buffet setup and labeling, enforce local health regulations, and adhere to the restaurant's standards of service, cleanliness, and quality.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- Willingness to follow seating protocol and restaurant guidelines
- Ability to assist guests and answer basic questions about menu and buffet offerings
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the host area
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively on the phone
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food service operations a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Positive attitude and friendly demeanor
Job Duties
- Greet guests as they enter the restaurant and offer a sincere personal invitation to return as guests leave
- Offer assistance to guests who may need help
- Be friendly and courteous on the phone
- Seat guests in a prompt and efficient manner
- Follow seating protocol and give buffet instructions to guests
- Know and follow position responsibilities related to just-in-time delivery
- Maintain knowledge of the buffet for the day and have a full understanding of menu and prices
- Maintain organization and cleanliness at the vestibule, host station and surrounding areas
- Help ensure the buffet is set up properly and labels are correct
- Follow local health department laws
- Perform duty roster and ensure cleanliness, service and quality standards are met
