Job Description
Cracker Barrel is a renowned American restaurant and gift store chain that has been a staple in the hospitality industry since its inception in 1969. Known for its Southern country theme, Cracker Barrel offers a unique combination of hearty meals and retail shopping featuring nostalgic and rustic home decor. Positioned as a gathering place where guests can enjoy delicious food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere, the company prides itself on creating memorable experiences for every visitor. With over 70,000 team members nationwide, Cracker Barrel is committed to fostering a sense of community both within the company and for its guests. The organization values teamwork, inclusivity, and a culture of belonging that supports employees from the moment they join.
The Host role at Cracker Barrel is a vital position that directly impacts the guest experience by being the first point of contact when guests arrive. This role involves greeting guests warmly, managing the flow of the dining room, and ensuring that each table is prepared and ready for new visitors. The Host is responsible for managing the waitlist efficiently and communicating wait times with guests in a friendly and engaging manner. This position is ideal for individuals who have a positive attitude, excel in a fast-paced environment, and thrive when working as part of a team. Experience in the restaurant industry is not required, as Cracker Barrel provides comprehensive training with its industry-leading PAR training program. The company emphasizes supporting its employees through competitive pay, benefits eligibility from day one, and numerous growth opportunities, making the Host position a rewarding gateway into the hospitality industry. Cracker Barrel offers a culture that values its employees, providing them with the tools and recognition needed to succeed and grow professionally within the company. If you have a warm, approachable style and enjoy making people feel welcome, this position offers an excellent opportunity to grow and be part of a team dedicated to exceptional service and memorable guest moments.
