The Host position we are currently hiring for plays a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service and hospitality that Boston's is known for. The host is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for ensuring prompt, efficient, and friendly greeting and seating of guests. This role demands exceptional interpersonal skills, a warm and welcoming demeanor, and the ability to coordinate the traffic flow and cleanliness of the dining room effectively to enhance the overall guest experience. Beyond greeting guests, the host may also assist in team training, help manage take-out orders, handle cash and credit transactions responsibly, and uphold uniform and professional presentation standards. The host’s responsibilities extend to monitoring the responsible service of alcohol in compliance with licensing authorities and company policies. By maintaining a smooth seating rotation and ensuring guests feel attended to and appreciated, the host directly contributes to a friendly and organized dining environment. This role offers exposure to customer service operations in a fast-paced hospitality setting, providing opportunities for personal and professional growth within the Boston's franchise system. Prospective employees should note that employment is with the individual franchisee, independent business owners who set their own wages and benefits which may vary. This position is located in Spokane, WA, and prospective candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- basic math skills for handling transactions
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles is an asset
- positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- familiarity with point of sale systems is a plus
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously
- coordinate dining room traffic flow and cleanliness
- assist in training and development of new team members
- manage take-out orders via phone or online ordering
- handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- ensure reservation, telephone, waiting list, and take-out procedures are followed
- maintain professional appearance and comply with uniform standards
- monitor responsible sale and service of alcohol and report concerns to management
- maintain frequent guest contact and high visibility in the dining room
- ensure guests are served per Boston's high standards and involve management when negative experiences arise
- manage the smooth and even flow of the dining room
- sincerely thank every guest for their patronage
- maintain high food and beverage knowledge and ensure menu items meet Boston's standards
- follow standard recipes and preparation methods
- stay informed and assist with promotions
- uphold health and safety standards including cleanliness and food safety practices
- adhere to cleaning schedules and checklists to maintain a safe dining environment
