As a host or hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, playing a critical role in setting the tone for their dining experience. This position requires a friendly, approachable personality along with excellent communication skills to warmly welcome guests, manage seating arrangements, and handle inquiries promptly and professionally. You will be responsible for managing the wait list and flow of seating to maximize efficiency and guest comfort.

Additionally, you will coordinate with other team members and departments to support seamless restaurant operations, including assisting with side tasks like cleaning, stocking, and packaging to-go orders when needed. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in restaurant or hospitality preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of reservation and seating software helpful
  • Ability to handle guest inquiries professionally and courteously

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner
  • Ascertains their dining/lodging needs
  • Manage wait list and wait time
  • Seats guests and manage the seating chart
  • Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
  • Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
  • Performs opening and closing duties, as needed
