Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • previous experience as a host or in a customer service role is preferred but not required
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • proficiency with reservation and seating software is a plus
  • ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and professionalism
  • basic math skills for managing waitlists and reservations
  • friendly, outgoing, and approachable demeanor
  • professional appearance and attitude
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • reliability and punctuality
  • ability to remain calm and courteous in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet guests as they enter and thank them as they leave
  • manage the waitlist and seating chart efficiently
  • escort guests to their tables and provide menus
  • answer phone calls and handle reservations and inquiries
  • communicate guest preferences and special requests to servers and kitchen staff
  • assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area
  • monitor dining room activity to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
  • provide accurate wait time estimates to guests
  • handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and seek assistance from management when necessary
