The position is for a Host at a restaurant, a vital frontline role in the dining service industry that focuses on greeting and accommodating guests promptly and professionally. Job Requirements

  • Must be 16 years old
  • Ability to greet and seat customers promptly
  • Competency with cash register and POS system
  • Ability to handle money transactions accurately
  • Ability to work while standing and walking for 100% of the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Completion of hourly position validations including reading training materials

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and staff
  • Basic math skills for handling money transactions
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Capable of standing and walking for extended periods
  • Previous customer service experience preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat customers immediately within 1 minute in a systematic fashion
  • Answer the phone
  • Run a wait list
  • Take to go orders and perform correct money transactions up to twenty times during a scheduled shift
  • Suggestively sell and upsell
  • Promote store features and specials
  • Project a positive image always
  • Assist other FOH staff members as needed
  • Observe customers and respond to additional requests or complaints
  • Act as a resource for guests regarding the restaurant, promotions, specials, staff, menu, and hours of operation
  • Take out trash, stock supplies, check restrooms, bus tubs, refill ice, and wash glassware as assigned
