As part of Distinguished Vineyards and its wine partnerships, including MacRostie Winery and Markham Vineyards, Argyle operates with a dedication to quality, sustainability, and an inclusive workplace culture. The winery is celebrated for its world-class Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and sparkling wines, and it prides itself on delivering a memorable experience to every visitor. Distinguished Vineyards encourages diversity and fosters a supportive environment where employees are valued, empowered, and encouraged to grow professionally and personally.
The hospitality team at Argyle plays a vital role in creating an outstanding guest experience at the tasting room. Currently, Argyle is seeking a part-time, temporary Tasting Room Host to join their Argyle DTC team. This role is pivotal as the first and last point of contact for guests visiting the tasting room. Working approximately 24 hours per week on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the Host will report directly to the Tasting Room Manager. The position demands a warm and professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
The Tasting Room Host will ensure guests receive world-class service from the moment they arrive until they leave, contributing significantly to the overall impression and success of the winery’s retail and hospitality efforts. This individual will manage reservations, greet and seat guests, coordinate with wine ambassadors, handle inquiries by phone and email, and assist with various dining and lodging recommendations. They will also participate in special tastings and private events, supporting the broader guest services team. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with reservation or table management software, possess a genuine passion for wine and knowledge of the industry, particularly the Willamette Valley region, and maintain a strong work ethic and attention to detail while working independently or collaboratively within the team.
Working at Argyle offers the unique opportunity to be part of a passionate community that values inclusion, diversity, and personal growth. The company prioritizes creating a fun work environment where employees can excel while enjoying their roles in the vibrant wine industry community. This role is perfect for individuals seeking to further their hospitality career within a prestigious and dynamic winery setting, with a chance to deepen their knowledge of viticulture and wine service. Candidates interested in applying should provide a complete resume and ensure they meet the work authorization requirements. Argyle and Distinguished Vineyards are equal opportunity employers committed to maintaining a confidential and supportive application process.
