Founded in 1969, it has become a beloved destination for guests looking to enjoy hearty meals, nostalgic ambiance, and unique retail merchandise across its many locations nationwide. Cracker Barrel is recognized not only for its delicious southern-style cooking but also for its commitment to providing an inclusive environment where both guests and employees feel valued and appreciated. With over 70,000 dedicated team members, Cracker Barrel emphasizes a culture rooted in hospitality, respect, and teamwork, building a strong reputation in the casual dining industry.
The company is currently looking to welcome new Hosts to their team. This role is essential for creating memorable guest experiences right from the moment customers enter the restaurant. As a Host at Cracker Barrel, you become the face of the brand, greeting guests with a warm smile and ensuring their arrival sets a positive tone for their entire visit. The Host manages the flow of the dining area by organizing the waitlist effectively, updating guests patiently, and ensuring tables are promptly prepared and welcoming for the next party. Whether restaurants are busy or calm, Hosts maintain a composed and energetic demeanor to foster a smooth and enjoyable dining environment.
This position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have a passion for people and enjoy being part of a team-oriented culture. No prior restaurant experience is necessary since comprehensive training is provided, including industry-leading programs designed to support new hires from day one. The employment type typically includes both full-time and part-time positions, and Cracker Barrel offers competitive weekly pay with access to same-day pay options to support employees' financial needs.
Working at Cracker Barrel means more than just a paycheck–it means joining a community where growth, recognition, and support are priorities. Employees receive health insurance eligibility starting day one, vacation time, and access to an employee assistance program to promote well-being. Career advancement is encouraged through ongoing development and training initiatives, including the renowned PAR training program, a 401k plan with company matching after 90 days, and an employee stock purchase plan. The company also fosters a culture of belonging by hosting onboarding activities, recognition events, and team-building experiences that connect employees across the network.
On top of these valuable perks, Cracker Barrel extends exclusive discounts on food, retail items, and other personal benefits like travel and cell phone discounts, enhancing the overall employee experience. This supportive environment truly cultivates not just great work but a sense of family among staff. If you enjoy making people feel welcome, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and want to be part of a team that values warmth, positivity, and collaboration, the Host position at Cracker Barrel could be the ideal role for you. Join Cracker Barrel and discover a place where you’re not just working but creating the moments that matter for countless guests each day.
