Job Requirements
- Promote and act in a manner consistent with Smithfield Station's mission
- warmly and graciously greet all guests and seat them appropriately
- open doors for guests when possible
- provide guests with menus and server information
- record guest names and party sizes and provide wait times
- assign appropriate tables considering server rotation
- call out guest names when tables are ready
- communicate with guests to ensure satisfaction
- answer telephone calls promptly
- maintain contact with kitchen, management, and serving staff
- inspect dining areas for cleanliness and setup
- inform guests of specialties and features
- receive and record reservations
- inspect and clean restrooms as necessary
- direct guests to coatrooms and lounges
- relay messages to servers and bussers
- thank guests on departure and invite return
- attend scheduled meetings and offer suggestions
- assist fellow employees to meet guest needs
- fill in for fellow employees to ensure service standards
- take and prepare to-go orders

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
