Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established seafood restaurant chain with over fifty years of history and a strong family-owned heritage. This company has grown to include more than 500 restaurants, each embedded in its local community, offering guests not just meals but memorable experiences. Red Lobster is known for its commitment to quality seafood and outstanding hospitality, making the dining experience special for every visitor. The company prides itself on being more than just a place to eat and work; it serves as a hub where new friends become familiar faces, connecting guests with the coast and fresh seafood traditions. Their focus on community involvement and customer satisfaction has allowed them to maintain a loyal customer base and a positive reputation nationwide.
Currently, Red Lobster is hiring for a Host position, an essential role that plays a vital part in guest experience and the smooth operation of the restaurant. As a Host at Red Lobster, you will be the first point of contact for guests, tasked with creating a welcoming atmosphere right from their arrival. Your responsibilities will include greeting every guest with a smile, accurately quoting wait times, managing reservations efficiently, and escorting guests to their tables to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. The Host is also responsible for catering to guest needs by providing special experiences where possible and ensuring that every guest leaves with a positive impression by offering a warm farewell and an invitation to return.
This role requires someone who is highly attentive to both the team and the guests, always making decisions with service quality and teamwork in mind. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for long periods during shifts that can last 8 to 12 hours, safely lift up to 30 pounds, and move around the restaurant efficiently. As a team player, you will need to show excellent multitasking abilities and attention to detail to thrive in this dynamic environment.
Red Lobster values its employees and offers competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and options for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week. The company also provides life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. After one year of service, employees become eligible for a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match, ensuring long-term financial planning support. Anniversary pay is available for those who meet eligibility requirements, rewarding loyalty and tenure. Employees also enjoy perks such as discounted shift meals and a 25 percent discount when dining as a guest. Beyond these benefits, Red Lobster provides extensive training and career advancement opportunities, supporting personal and professional growth within the company.
Red Lobster is proud of its future, aiming for growth and improvement while maintaining its core values and high standards. The company fosters an inclusive, welcoming workplace, emphasizing equal employment opportunities for all, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a family committed to great food, excellent service, and a supportive culture, all while building a rewarding career in the hospitality industry.
