Job Description
LongHorn Steakhouse is a renowned American casual dining restaurant chain known for its bold flavors, legendary food, and exceptional service. As a part of the larger Darden Restaurants family, LongHorn has built a strong and diverse culture focusing on employee loyalty, growth opportunities, and well-done benefits. The company prides itself on creating a passionate, committed workforce that brings pride to every dish and interaction. With a focus on both tradition and innovation, LongHorn invites team members to contribute to an exciting dining experience while growing their careers in the restaurant industry.
For this position, the compensation is variable by location and includes tips, providing an opportunity for earning based on performance and guest engagement. This role focuses on a key hospitality position within the restaurant – the Host. Hosts are vital as they create the guests' first and last impressions during their dining experience. Hosts enthusiastically welcome guests, manage the lobby atmosphere, and collaborate with the team to maintain cleanliness and readiness of tables. This position demands energy, friendliness, and effective team collaboration to keep the dining flow smooth and guests satisfied from the moment they arrive until departure.
Being a Host at LongHorn means you are the proud hello and grateful goodbye. Your role is not only to greet guests warmly but also to be the friendly face that assures a memorable visit. You will manage the waiting area, balance guest flow, and work alongside servers and bussers to ensure tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset promptly. Working here is about taking ownership of your responsibilities and contributing positively to an energetic and supportive team environment.
Benefits at LongHorn are designed to support your work-life balance and personal needs. The company offers flexibility with scheduling that allows you to swap shifts conveniently using the team member app, making it easier to tailor work around your life. Weekly competitive pay reflects your hard work and dedication. Additional perks include shift meals offering nutritious sides, salads, and soups to keep you energized on the job. LongHorn recognizes employee commitment through anniversary pay bonuses and honors significant holidays by closing the restaurant on Thanksgiving and Christmas to give team members time with their families. Discounts extend beyond the restaurants to include phone plans, hotel stays, and more, providing valuable savings beyond your role.
Joining LongHorn means you become part of a community that values your contribution and supports your growth. Whether you’re new to the restaurant industry or an experienced hospitality professional, LongHorn offers a welcoming and motivating environment where every day brings new opportunities to shine. If you are passionate about service, eager to be part of a legendary team, and ready to ignite the dining experience for countless guests, LongHorn Steakhouse is the place to ignite your career.
