Job Description
Red Robin is a renowned full-service restaurant chain celebrated for its unique, laid-back atmosphere and a quirky vibe that sets it apart from typical burger establishments. Known for its commitment to serving burgers beyond the ordinary, Red Robin emphasizes connection, fun, and generosity, creating an environment that welcomes all guests and fosters a strong sense of belonging among both customers and team members. As a high-volume restaurant concept with a focus on quality, freshness, and memorable dining experiences, Red Robin is more than just a place to eat; it is a community where everyone is encouraged to smile and share joy with others. The company is proud of its inclusive culture, celebrating both similarities and differences, and it continuously strives to create an environment where every individual feels valued and embraced. Red Robin offers excellent growth opportunities, as evidenced by the many managers who began their careers as hourly team members, reflecting the company's dedication to internal development and career advancement.
The Host role at Red Robin is an integral part of the Front of House service team, designed for individuals who thrive on providing outstanding customer service and ensuring guests receive a warm and welcoming welcome. The primary responsibility of the Host is to offer a great first impression to patrons by displaying a friendly demeanor and professionally escorting guests to their tables. In addition to seating guests, the Host manages reservations and maintains an efficient waitlist system during busy periods, ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience for everyone. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for hospitality to make guests feel comfortable and appreciated from the moment they walk through the doors. Hosts contribute significantly to the overall guest experience, setting the tone for the meal and establishing a welcoming environment that reflects Red Robin's commitment to making every dining occasion fresh, fun, and memorable. This position is suitable for applicants aged 17 or older and offers flexible scheduling to accommodate various lifestyles and commitments. The remuneration for Hosts ranges from $16.94 to $20.44 per hour, reflecting the value placed on this customer-facing role.
Alongside competitive pay, the Host position includes exciting benefits such as a 50% discount on Red Robin food for the employee and 25% discount for their family members, enhancing the experience of being part of the Red Robin family. Furthermore, employees can enjoy referral bonuses for bringing new talent to the team, along with access to an Employee Stock Purchase Program after one year of service working 20 or more hours per week, providing a pathway for staff to invest in the company’s success. Health benefits available include comprehensive coverage options such as health, vision, dental, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance for employees aged 18 and older. Retirement benefits are also offered through a 401(k) plan with a company match of up to 4% of pay, available to employees aged 21 or older after one year of service and at least 1,000 hours worked annually. Paid time off accrues at a rate of 0.0192 hours for each hour worked after one year of service, promoting work-life balance and rewarding longevity within the company. Red Robin accepts applications continuously, welcoming individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service and being part of a vibrant, energetic team dedicated to hospitality excellence.
