Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned restaurant chain known for its commitment to providing a unique Seafood dining experience that captures the spirit and connection to the coast. Over the past fifty years, Red Lobster has expanded into a thriving family of over 500 restaurants, each serving as a place where guests can enjoy their favorite meals and create memorable moments. The company values community engagement, and every establishment strives to be more than just a dining location—it is a place where new friends become familiar faces, and everyone feels welcome. Red Lobster prides itself on fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages growth and advancement within the company.
The Host role at Red Lobster is a key position integral to creating a warm and memorable dining atmosphere for guests. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, responsible for welcoming guests with a smile and making a positive first impression. The position involves managing wait times accurately, handling reservations efficiently, and ensuring guests feel valued through personalized attention and exceptional service. Hosts escort guests to their tables and provide seamless experiences from the moment they enter until their departure, including friendly farewells with an invitation to return. This role demands strong interpersonal skills, a genuine desire to help others, and a focus on maintaining thoughtful communication between team members and guests. Physical stamina is necessary, as the role requires standing for extended periods and moving throughout the restaurant during shifts usually lasting between 8 to 12 hours.
Working at Red Lobster offers competitive wages with weekly pay and a flexible schedule that helps employees balance work with their personal lives. The company also offers affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting as low as $10 per week, along with life insurance, short-term disability, and other voluntary benefits. Red Lobster supports its employees’ futures by providing a 401(k) retirement savings plan, including a company match after one year of service, and anniversary pay for eligible team members. Employees enjoy additional perks like discounted shift meals and a 25% discount when dining as a guest, creating added value for team members who are passionate about great food. Beyond compensation and benefits, Red Lobster invests in its workforce by offering comprehensive training and career advancement opportunities, helping employees grow within the company and achieve their professional goals.
This Host position is perfect for individuals who are team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to multitask in a fast-paced restaurant environment. It requires meeting physical demands such as bending, reaching, stooping, safely lifting up to 30 pounds, and standing for extended periods. Red Lobster is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace without discrimination based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. With exciting plans for the future, joining the Red Lobster family now means becoming part of a growing and supportive community dedicated to success and exceptional guest experiences.
