Job Description

Cracker Barrel is a well-established American restaurant and retail chain known for its unique blend of Southern country charm, delicious home-style cooking, and a rustic country store experience. Founded in 1969, Cracker Barrel has grown into a beloved destination for people seeking comfort food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere. With more than 70,000 team members across the nation, Cracker Barrel takes pride in its strong roots and community-driven culture, making it a special place where guests can gather, reconnect, and feel at home. The company emphasizes doing more than serving meals; it fosters memorable moments through genuine interactions between staff and guests, creating a friendly and inclusive environment that prioritizes teamwork and respect. Cracker Barrel operates both in its distinctive restaurant settings and retail stores offering unique gifts, nostalgic items, and country-themed merchandise.

As a Host at Cracker Barrel, you are at the heart of the guest experience, playing a crucial role in making every visitor feel welcomed from the moment they step through the door. The host sets the tone for the dining experience by greeting guests warmly, managing seating efficiently, handling waitlists with ease, and ensuring the flow of the dining room moves smoothly. This position is not simply about managing tables but about creating a sense of belonging and warmth that reflects the company’s deep commitment to hospitality. Cracker Barrel is seeking individuals who can bring positive energy, a calm approach under pressure, and a genuine desire to be part of a team that values collaboration and support. This is an excellent opportunity for those new to the restaurant industry, as Cracker Barrel provides comprehensive training through its industry-leading PAR program starting on the first day.

The role offers much more than just a job; it provides a pathway for growth and advancement with development opportunities right from the outset. Cracker Barrel takes employee well-being seriously by offering competitive pay, same-day pay access, and health insurance eligibility beginning on day one for both full-time and part-time employees. Additional benefits include vacation time, 401k with company matching starting after 90 days, an employee stock purchase program, and various employee discounts on food, retail items, and other lifestyle perks. The company also fosters an inclusive culture through recognition programs and employee events designed to bring team members together and celebrate their contributions.

Working at Cracker Barrel means joining a supportive community where everyone is valued and appreciated. The company is committed to equal employment opportunities and welcomes applications from qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, national origin, age, marital status, medical condition, disability, or any other protected status. Join Cracker Barrel and find your place where your work truly makes a difference because here, everyone is in good company.
