The Host position at the TooJay's Palm Springs Shopping Center location in Altamonte Springs plays a crucial role as the first point of contact for guests beginning their dining experience. The Host is responsible for greeting guests warmly and setting a welcoming tone for their visit. Job Requirements

  • must be at least 16 years of age and willing to work hard and learn
  • flexible and long hours required at times
  • ability to stand during entire shift exerting up to 20 pounds as needed
  • must be able to maneuver throughout dining and kitchen areas
  • ability to reach overhead, carry trays, handle hot and cold beverages, bend below the waist
  • able to communicate intentions to co-workers
  • approach all guest encounters in a friendly and service-oriented manner
  • continuously clean high-touch points
  • maintain regular schedule compliant with business needs and covid-19 cleaning protocols
  • maintain high personal grooming standards including wearing proper uniform and facial mask and gloves when required

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in customer service or hospitality is an advantage
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to stand and remain active throughout the shift
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards beneficial
