Job Description
Bottleneck Management is a dynamic and rapidly growing company that operates vibrant, high-energy, and approachable restaurants located in some of the most exciting and dynamic neighborhoods and locations. With a deep-rooted commitment to genuine hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences, Bottleneck Management has evolved into a hospitality juggernaut while maintaining its core values. The company prides itself on cultivating a culture centered around understanding, support, empowerment, and enjoyment, which makes it a desirable place to work for those who value teamwork, positivity, and excellent guest service. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and crowd-pleasing dining establishments, Bottleneck Management focuses heavily on its people as the driving force behind its success. Whether within its home office or in one of its bustling restaurants, the company prioritizes hospitality and treats every team member like a valuable host at a party.
The Host position at Bottleneck Management is an essential role that contributes significantly to providing outstanding hospitality and guest satisfaction. Hosts are the first point of contact for guests as they enter the restaurant and set the tone for the entire experience. The responsibilities include greeting guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, informing them of wait times, entering guest information into the reservation system, and escorting guests to their tables. Additionally, Hosts are expected to bid guests farewell warmly upon their departure, ensuring they leave with a positive final impression. Beyond these front-of-house interactions, Hosts also contribute to the overall dining atmosphere by assisting with beverage refills, performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning glassware and menus, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the restrooms.
Bottleneck Management looks for upbeat, outgoing, and hospitable individuals eager to grow within the hospitality industry. The company fosters a fun and supportive work environment where teamwork and mutual respect are core to everyday operations. Along with a varied work schedule that includes nights and weekends, employees can expect to work in a fast-paced setting that challenges them to adapt and deliver excellent service while upholding safety and sanitation standards.
This role reports directly to the General Manager and falls within the Front of House (FOH) Operations department. While it does not have supervisory responsibilities, the position requires proficiency in the use of various front-of-house tools, such as reservation systems, telephone paging and voicemail, and the ability to handle guest concerns with tact and professionalism. Hosts also have the opportunity to support To-Go orders, further enhancing their versatility within the restaurant setting.
Candidates for this position must have a natural passion for hospitality and demonstrate a genuine commitment to the company’s culture and values. Bottleneck Management emphasizes its non-discriminatory hiring practices, providing equal employment opportunities for all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, or other protected categories. The company also offers a comprehensive benefits package, access to Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), and dining discounts, making it an attractive employer for those seeking a rewarding career in the hospitality industry.
Overall, the Host role at Bottleneck Management presents an excellent opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about hospitality, enjoy engaging with people, and want to develop their skills in a supportive and energetic environment. This position not only allows team members to become integral parts of a welcoming and vibrant restaurant but also provides opportunities for personal and professional growth within an expanding hospitality company.
