The role being offered is that of a restaurant host or hostess, an essential position within the front-of-house team that directly shapes the guest experience from the moment they arrive. The restaurant host greets arriving and departing guests warmly, seating them in a friendly and efficient manner to ensure the smooth flow of the restaurant's operation. This role requires a vibrant, welcoming personality and the ability to manage guest needs effectively, including accommodating special requirements such as boosters, high chairs, or disabilities. While prior experience as a host, hostess, greeter, or maitre d is preferred, it is not mandatory, making it an ideal opportunity for those seeking entry into the hospitality industry. The job offers the chance to participate in open interviews held Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, facilitating accessible hiring for potential candidates. Job Requirements

  • Must be 16 years or older to be considered for this opportunity
  • opens door for guests arriving and departing
  • accommodates any special needs of guests such as boosters, highchairs, disabilities
  • manages the wait list when the restaurant is full
  • provides guest assistance to servers as needed
  • maintains a clean and organized work area and completes cleaning as assigned
  • fills out the feature board and inflates balloons
  • must be able to stand and exert a well-paced mobility for periods up to four hours in length
  • must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees

Job Qualifications

  • Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required
  • mobility required during the entire shift
  • transports and carries objects such as high chairs up to 15 pounds up to 15 times a shift
  • ability to wipe down tabletops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant
