About the Role: The Restaurant Host/Hostess position is a pivotal role dedicated to warmly welcoming guests and managing the flow of the dining room to ensure smooth and efficient service. As the first point of contact, hosts set the tone for the guest experience by greeting arriving and departing guests in a friendly and professional manner. The host/hostess ensures that guests are promptly seated and accommodated, paying special attention to any unique needs such as boosters, highchairs, or accessibility requirements. This role demands excellent interpersonal communication and the capacity to multitask effectively while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Prior experience in hosting, greeting, or maitre d duties is preferred but not necessary, as training is provided. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates aged 16 years and older who enjoy working in fast-paced, customer-focused environments. The restaurant offers a positive work atmosphere where energy and teamwork are celebrated. The role often requires physical stamina, including standing for up to four hours at a time and assisting with light lifting tasks. Open interviews are held from Monday to Thursday, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, providing a straightforward application process for interested candidates. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Open and friendly personality with excellent customer service approach
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must be capable of managing physical tasks including carrying and cleaning
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Good communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Job Qualifications

  • Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required
  • Mobility required throughout the entire shift
  • Ability to transport and carry objects up to 15 pounds multiple times per shift
  • Capability to clean and wipe down tabletops, table legs, booths and floors
  • Ability to stand and move with well-paced mobility up to four hours
  • Clear speaking and attentive listening skills
  • Prior experience in hosting or related roles is preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Greet arriving and departing guests warmly
  • Seat guests promptly and accommodate special needs including boosters, highchairs, and disabilities
  • Manage the wait list during busy periods to maintain guest flow
  • Assist servers by providing guest support as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and dining area
  • Fill out the feature board and inflate balloons for special occasions
  • Ensure all guest interactions reflect the company’s commitment to friendly and efficient service
