Job Description
ELIA Group is a dynamic and multi-faceted real estate and hospitality company recognized for acquiring, developing, and managing commercial properties in landmark locations across the United States. With a distinctive approach, ELIA Group does not wait for opportunities to come their way but actively creates exceptional experiences through both real estate development and hospitality ventures. They are known for their meticulous attention to detail, which has led to award-winning projects that combine luxury, innovation, and sustainability. Their hospitality operations emphasize delivering impeccable service, crafting exquisite culinary experiences, and fostering engaging environments that resonate with diverse clientele. ELIA Group operates with an integrated model that allows seamless execution from property acquisition and development to operational hospitality management, ensuring that every project embodies excellence and client satisfaction.
220 Merrill stands as ELIA Group’s premier upscale dining destination, offering an elevated take on contemporary American cuisine with a focus on wood-fired specialties. The restaurant has gained a reputation for precision-driven hospitality, expertly crafted cocktails, and a vibrant, high-energy ambiance. This venue is more than a dining establishment—it delivers a multi-sensory experience with sophisticated interior design, an expansive outdoor patio, and lively entertainment options, making it a favored destination for both refined meals and celebratory events. Whether it’s milestone celebrations, business meetings, or stylish nights out, 220 Merrill sets a distinctive stage where guests can enjoy unforgettable moments in a lively, upscale setting.
The presented role is critical to the smooth operation of 220 Merrill’s guest experience and the administrative backbone supporting the restaurant. The position involves handling guest inquiries and reservation management with a warm, professional approach that enhances the overall dining experience. You will be responsible for managing the reservation system, interfacing with guests, and coordinating with the events team to ensure seamless communication about bookings and inquiries. Additionally, this role supports the administrative functions of the restaurant, including organizing training materials, scheduling, filing, and record-keeping—all contributing to the efficient daily operations of the venue. Given the restaurant’s fast-paced and evolving environment, adaptability and attention to detail are vital.
Beyond guest interaction, this position includes operational tasks like monitoring inventory levels for food and beverage items, assisting with invoice processing through Restaurants 365 software, understanding cost of goods sold (COGS), and supporting monthly counts. Also, maintaining the cleanliness and safety standards of food and beverage areas falls within the scope of responsibilities. With an hourly wage of $16.00 to $20.00, the role offers competitive pay alongside a variety of benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, and 401(k) plans, reflective of ELIA Group’s commitment to valuing their employees.
Physical demands for this position are substantial, requiring stamina, physical strength, manual dexterity, and mobility to perform various tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods in a bustling, often noisy restaurant environment. Professional appearance and the ability to remain calm under pressure bolster the role’s front-of-house requirements. This opportunity is suited for individuals passionate about hospitality, administrative organization, and contributing to a high-caliber dining experience at a busy, upscale restaurant. ELIA Group emphasizes working with team members who share their passion and dedication to setting new standards in hospitality service and real estate development.
