Job Description

IHOP, founded in 1958, is a renowned restaurant chain specializing in breakfast and casual dining experiences. Known for its welcoming atmosphere where people connect over meals, IHOP has become a beloved destination for families, friends, and individuals looking to enjoy comforting food in a friendly environment. With millions of smiles shared both in-store and across their social media, IHOP embraces a culture centered around happiness and exceptional customer service. The company’s logo even features a smile, symbolizing the joy and warmth experienced by its guests. IHOP prides itself not only on its extensive menu featuring delicious pancakes, omelets, and other breakfast classics but also on the friendly service and inviting ambiance that make each visit memorable.

Currently, IHOP is seeking a dedicated Host to join their team. This role is crucial in ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they enter the restaurant. The Host serves as the face of the establishment, greeting customers with a smile and courteous welcome, managing seating arrangements efficiently, and accommodating guests’ special needs such as highchairs and boosters. This position requires a multitasker with strong interpersonal skills who can handle busy periods by managing wait lists and processing to-go orders promptly. The Host supports the team by communicating order details to the kitchen, assisting with curbside pickups, and maintaining the restaurant’s cleanliness and appearance. The role demands attentiveness, patience, and a positive attitude to deliver an exceptional dining experience consistently.

The ideal candidate must arrive on time, be well-groomed wearing a clean uniform, and demonstrate professionalism and teamwork. Prior experience as a host is advantageous but not mandatory, as IHOP offers training and real opportunities for advancement. Working weekends and holidays is a requirement due to the nature of the hospitality industry. Possessing an active Food Handler’s Card and being comfortable handling monetary transactions responsibly are also essential. IHOP offers competitive pay and flexible hours, making this a great opportunity for someone passionate about customer service and eager to grow within a dynamic team environment.
