Job Description

Cracker Barrel is a renowned American restaurant and retail company established in 1969, widely recognized for its unique combination of Southern country cooking and nostalgic merchandise. With a network of locations spread across the United States, Cracker Barrel has become a beloved destination not just for great food, but also for a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home. Guests come to Cracker Barrel not only to enjoy delicious meals but also to experience a heartfelt sense of community and tradition. Rooted deeply in American hospitality, the company emphasizes teamwork, warmth, and a genuine care for both guests and employees. Boasting a workforce of more than 70,000 team members nationwide, Cracker Barrel takes immense pride in fostering an environment where everyone is valued and supported from their very first day.

The role of a Host at Cracker Barrel is integral to maintaining the seamless flow and friendly nature of the dining experience. As a Host, your primary responsibility is to warmly greet and seat guests, making them feel instantly welcomed from the moment they walk through the door. You will manage the waitlist efficiently, communicate wait times with a positive attitude, and ensure that every table is clean and ready for guests to enjoy their meals. This position is crucial for setting the tone of hospitality that guests associate with Cracker Barrel. The Host serves as the first impression of the restaurant’s commitment to guest satisfaction, emphasizing a team-first approach in a fast-paced and engaging environment.

Cracker Barrel welcomes individuals from all backgrounds, even those without prior restaurant experience, as comprehensive training will be provided. The company is dedicated to employee growth and development, offering access to industry-leading training programs, career advancement opportunities, and robust benefits starting from day one. Hosts will enjoy competitive weekly pay, including same-day pay access, health insurance eligibility for all full and part-time employees, and vacation time. Additional perks include a 35% discount on food and retail items, participation in an Employee Stock Purchase Program, and a 401(k) plan enriched with company matching contributions after three months.

Cracker Barrel’s work culture is more than just a professional setting; it is a community where employees feel they belong. Support systems such as onboarding, ongoing training, employee recognition programs, and social events are in place to ensure team members thrive. If you are someone who enjoys making others feel welcome, can maintain composure under pressure, and values working with others in a positive environment, this is the perfect opportunity. Joining Cracker Barrel means becoming part of a legacy that values you as much as its guests, providing a space where your efforts contribute to more than just a meal—they create meaningful moments. Join today and start your career in a place where every moment truly matters.
