Job Requirements

Minimum of 1-year full service restaurant experience or equivalent
Accurate mathematic skills
Knowledge of menu and specials
Knowledge of restaurant layout including table numbers and station numbers
Meet personal schedule requirements punctually
Be warm, sincere, outgoing in personality
Stand for long periods of time while on duty
Move safely throughout all areas of the restaurant
Work amidst noise in confined crowded space
Move chairs, transport high chairs and/or booster seats to tables when necessary
Work nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Minimum of 1-year full service restaurant experience or equivalent

Ability to communicate effectively with guests

Ability to meet personal schedule requirements punctually

Job Duties

Determine proper amount of reservations to be accepted for each shift according to standing operating procedure
Take all reservation calls and record necessary information
Confirm applicable reservations according to standing operating procedure
Seat the restaurant evenly and in an orderly manner so that the dining room looks well filled and all servers have a fair share of guests
Maintain an accurate head count of guests seated in each station
Fill out completely all sections of a telephone message pad and pass on to the appropriate person within 10 minutes of the call
Check washrooms and coordinate with bus staff cleaning requirements
