Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous expediting experience preferred
  • Excellent oral communication skills required
  • Positive interpersonal skills required
  • Must speak English fluently and write in basic English
  • Ability to speak and hear
  • Close and distance vision
  • Frequent sitting with some standing at times
  • Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs
  • Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills
  • Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly

Job Duties

  • Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact
  • Escort guests to the assigned dining area, present menus, and announce the waiter's name
  • Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service
  • Tend to special guest needs and requests
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and clean host area
  • Receive payments by validating credit charges, approving checks, accepting currency, and calculating and issuing change for to-go orders
  • Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed, Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
