Job Requirements
- Minimum one year full-service restaurant experience or equivalent
- Accurate mathematic skills
- Knowledge of menu and specials
- Familiarity with restaurant layout including table and station numbers
- Ability to meet schedule punctuality
- Warm, sincere, and outgoing personality
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to move safely throughout restaurant areas
- Comfortable working in noisy, crowded spaces
- Ability to move chairs and transport high chairs or booster seats
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of full-service restaurant experience
- Strong mathematical skills for managing seating and reservations
- Familiarity with menu items and daily specials
- Knowledge of restaurant layout including table and station numbers
- Ability to handle busy and noisy environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously
- Manage telephone lines by taking reservation calls and messages
- Maintain an accurate and organized waitlist when necessary
- Balance seating to ensure servers receive a fair share of guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of host station and waiting areas
- Accurately sell and account for gift certificates
- Coordinate with bussing and service staff to meet dining room needs
