Job Description

Indeed Flex is a dynamic staffing agency specializing in connecting professionals with flexible, event-based opportunities across various industries. Known for its innovative approach to workforce solutions, Indeed Flex partners with clients to provide exceptional temporary staffing for events, hospitality, and related sectors. The agency prides itself on fostering an inclusive environment that values diversity and offers the chance for employees to gain meaningful experience while maintaining a work-life balance suited to their lifestyles. This opportunity is a client-based position where the selected candidate will work on-site at various high-end events, delivering professional service and helping manage teams to ensure event success.

The role of Event Hospitality Team Leader / Captain at Indeed Flex is a pivotal position designed for experienced hospitality professionals passionate about delivering first-class service in fast-paced, upscale event environments. This role involves taking charge of front-of-house (FOH) operations, including managing and training event staff, handling guest interactions, and ensuring the smooth execution of service standards throughout the shift. With a competitive hourly pay of $21.50, this position offers flexible shifts tailored to event schedules and client needs. Candidates will find this role rewarding as it not only allows them to lead and inspire teams but also to engage directly in event service by participating in various service stations and guest interactions.

As an Event Hospitality Team Leader / Captain, you will be responsible for facilitating pre-shift briefings, checking in team members, and reviewing event expectations to prepare your team for a seamless service experience. The role demands strong leadership skills, quick problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication as you act as the primary contact for FOH questions and guest concerns. Your hands-on approach will have you actively working alongside your team, providing guidance and feedback in real-time to maintain high-quality service delivery. The ability to work collaboratively in a team-based service model is critical, as is the capacity to manage multiple stations, such as passing plates, attending food and beverage stations, and responding promptly to guest needs.

This role is well-suited for dedicated professionals who thrive in environments that require meticulous attention to detail, punctuality, and professionalism. Prior experience in events, catering, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated individuals ready to take on leadership duties. The position also requires adherence to a professional dress code during interviews and events, including an all-black shirt, vest, tie, and full-length suit pants, reflecting the premium nature of the events and maintaining an upscale image.

Joining Indeed Flex as an Event Hospitality Team Leader means gaining valuable exposure to upscale hospitality settings, flexible scheduling that can accommodate various lifestyles, and opportunities to earn referral bonuses. The company champions equal opportunity employment and inclusivity, ensuring that all employees, regardless of background or personal circumstances, have fair access to employment and development opportunities. This commitment is reinforced by their fair chance hiring policy, supporting candidates with diverse experiences and histories. This role is an excellent fit for passionate hospitality workers aspiring to elevate their careers through leadership while contributing to memorable event experiences.
