Hospitality Associates demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, strong communication capabilities, and creative problem-solving abilities, all while upholding strict standards of quality and cleanliness. The position is scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays, from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm, offering a part-time opportunity for individuals seeking to contribute in a dynamic healthcare environment.

They operate within a diverse team of over 120 members, including executive chefs, sous chefs, cooks, baristas, clinical dietitians, nutrition technicians, guest relation associates, and other hospitality services associates. Together, this team supports various hospital departments by providing catering services, preparing and serving patient meals via the room service program, operating a café and coffee service for employees and guests, stocking units with food and supplies, and offering patient nutrition support and education through registered dietitians. Working in the Hospitality department means being part of a fast-paced, dynamic environment that prioritizes patient care and exceptional service delivery.

The Hospitality Services Associate is responsible for maintaining clinical standards for individual patient food orders, ensuring the correct and prompt delivery of meals while delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves collaborating with clinical staff to guarantee timely and accurate meal distribution. Associates must maintain strict sanitation standards, monitor food temperatures, and work both independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and reliability are crucial, as regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function. The Hospitality Services Associate must also be competent in meeting the age-specific needs of the assigned hospital unit and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting, standing or sitting for extended periods, and bending.

Overall, the Hospitality Services Associate position at Kootenai Health offers a unique opportunity to be an integral part of a respected healthcare organization dedicated to excellent patient support. The role not only involves hands-on interaction with food service and hospital staff but also requires a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality and cleanliness. Kootenai Health supports its employees by providing comprehensive medical plans, tuition assistance, retirement plans, competitive salaries with shift differentials, wellness programs, employee discounts, and other valuable benefits starting shortly after employment. This position is ideal for individuals looking to make a difference in a healthcare setting while working within a supportive and rewarding team environment.
