Job Description

Landing, established in 2019, is the largest flexible living network in the United States, operating across more than 35 markets with thousands of apartments available to members. The company is revolutionizing the residential rental market by removing barriers such as deposits and providing hassle-free, flexible living solutions. With rapid growth and an expanding footprint nationwide, Landing offers a dynamic and ever-evolving work environment where adaptability and quick decision-making are crucial. The company prides itself on combining technology with real-world operations to deliver seamless experiences for its community of residents and property partners. The scale and scope of its network make Landing a leader in the flexible housing industry, providing innovative, high-quality living spaces tailored to modern lifestyles.

This particular role is a market segment ownership position based in the Nashville, TN market. As the Market Segment Owner, you will take full ownership of an assigned portfolio of properties, ensuring exceptional member experiences and maintaining strong operational oversight. Your responsibilities will span reservation management, member support, property and vendor relationships, housekeeping coordination, maintenance escalation, and enhancing unit quality across multiple properties. This is a unique opportunity to manage not just a single hotel or short-term rental, but an entire market segment, giving you broader influence and control compared to traditional hospitality roles.

You will be responsible for overseeing reservations booked directly through Landing’s platform as well as through major online travel agencies like Airbnb and Booking.com. Building and sustaining strong relationships with property partners and housekeeping vendors will be critical to maintaining the high standards Landing is known for. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills to swiftly address member issues that arise through multiple communication channels. You will regularly analyze key performance indicators such as Net Promoter Score (NPS), Customer Satisfaction (CSAT), and cleaning quality metrics to drive continuous improvement and support market growth.

Ideal candidates typically have experience in hotel operations, short-term rental management, vacation rental portfolio oversight, or any high-volume hospitality management role. You’ll thrive in this role if you are comfortable making fast decisions with limited information while prioritizing customer satisfaction. The role demands a person who is highly organized, capable of managing multiple urgent priorities, and who excels in ambiguous, fast-paced environments. You will also have the opportunity to play a key part in onboarding and launching new properties within your market segment, directly contributing to Landing’s growth and innovation.

The work schedule for this role primarily covers Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, but as a guest-facing position, you must be available during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, especially during peak periods like month-end and high-volume check-ins. This reflects the high-touch nature of the role and the commitment required to meet member expectations and operational demands.

Landing offers competitive compensation with a base salary ranging from $55,000 to $75,000 depending on experience, alongside a performance bonus of up to 20 percent of the base salary. Additionally, the position includes a $6,600 annual vehicle and cell phone stipend, stock options, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability, mental health, pet insurance, commuter benefits, and flexible spending or health savings accounts. The company encourages upward mobility, with a strong preference for promoting internal talent within the Field Operations management team.

Landing is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring equal opportunity for all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status under federal, state, or local law.
