Job Description
Landing is a pioneering company in the flexible living sector, having established itself since 2019 as the largest network of flexible living spaces across the United States. Currently operating in over 35 markets, Landing offers thousands of apartments available for rent without the hassle of deposits or long-term commitments. This innovative approach to urban living caters to modern renters who seek convenience, flexibility, and quality in their housing options. As a fast-growing company, Landing continuously adapts to the dynamic demands of the real estate and hospitality industries while maintaining a focus on providing exceptional customer experiences through its user-friendly platform and extensive property portfolio.
The role available is based in Richmond, one of Landing's fastest expanding markets. This position requires an individual to manage a significant segment of the company’s property network, with responsibilities that span across member experience, property and vendor relations, housekeeping, maintenance, and overall unit quality. Unlike traditional hospitality roles that focus on single properties, this opportunity involves ownership and operational control over multiple properties within the Richmond market segment. You will also be responsible for managing reservations not only through Landing’s proprietary platform but also through major online travel agencies such as Airbnb and Booking.com.
This position is perfect for candidates with a background in hotel management, short-term rental operations, or handling high-volume hospitality services who thrive in environments where adaptability and quick decision-making are essential. The candidate will need to oversee market performance metrics, including Net Promoter Score (NPS), Customer Satisfaction (CSAT), cleaning quality, and growth. This role demands a strategic thinker who can handle multiple urgent issues simultaneously, build and refine operational systems, and maintain focus on delivering superior customer service. Furthermore, the successful candidate will have the autonomy to make decisions and drive operations without stringent pre-established protocols, making it a unique leadership position at a growth-stage company.
The role involves a dynamic work schedule centered around core business hours Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, but also includes the necessity for availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of a guest-facing hospitality operation. This demand increases during peak periods such as month-end or during high-volume check-in events. Compensation for this role includes a base salary range of $55,000 to $75,000 depending on experience, a performance bonus that can reach up to 20% of the base salary, and an annual stipend of $6,600 to cover vehicle and cell phone expenses. Additional benefits include stock options and a comprehensive benefits package covering medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability, mental health services, pet insurance, commuter benefits, and flexible spending account or health savings account options.
Landing strongly supports upward mobility within their organization, with many members of their Field Operations management team having been promoted internally. The company values diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal employment opportunities regardless of race, gender, age, or any other protected status under federal, state, or local laws. As a company committed to growth and innovation, Landing provides a unique platform for professionals passionate about hospitality management and flexible living solutions to grow their careers while contributing to a disruptive market segment.
