Eureka! is currently seeking an enthusiastic and personable Hospitality Guide to join their team. This role is essential as it represents the brand at the first point of contact with guests. The Hospitality Guide’s duties range from greeting and seating guests warmly to managing reservations and telephone communications courteously. This position is fast-paced and requires someone who can confidently engage with guests and maintain a professional, friendly attitude while multitasking efficiently. The Hospitality Guide operates under the direct supervision of the General Manager and indirectly reports to other management staff, emphasizing teamwork and strong communication.
The Hospitality Guide role is non-exempt and involves various responsibilities such as guiding guests through Eureka!'s unique service model, answering inquiries about menu and bar items, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the greeter station and entrance. Additionally, the role includes assisting colleagues by bussing tables and delivering food or beverages when needed, ensuring each guest enjoys fluid service from start to finish. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy interacting with diverse guests, and want to contribute positively to a lively and collaborative workplace.
Candidates interested in this role should have at least 18 years of age and possess a Food Handler Safety Card. Physical endurance is necessary as the position involves prolonged standing, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in a fast-paced and occasionally noisy environment. Job Duties
- Greet all guests with personal style
- Seat guests in a professional and friendly manner
- Handle incoming telephone calls courteously and helpfully
- Maintain a clean entrance and Hospitality Guide area
- Guide guests through Eureka’s service model and answer menu inquiries
- Calculate and quote accurate wait times using the Waitlist app
- Sanitize tables and chairs prior to seating
- Assist Service Champions in bussing tables and delivering food and beverages
- Operate the POS system efficiently
- Polish and roll silverware
- Thank all departing guests and invite them to return
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms periodically
