Job Description

Good Samaritan Medical Center Hospital is a leading healthcare institution committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment. Located in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast, this 333-bed acute care hospital is part of the Palm Beach Health Network and has over a century of experience serving the community. The hospital is known for its sophisticated and personalized emergency medical care, leveraging some of the latest robotic technologies such as the MAKO and Da Vinci robots for surgical procedures. Moreover, Good Samaritan Medical Center houses a cancer center accredited by the Commission on Cancer, featuring a state-of-the-art Breast Center. This reputation for advanced medical services and patient-centered care sets the hospital apart as a top choice for healthcare professionals and patients alike.

The hospital understands that its greatest strength lies in its dedicated team of professionals. As such, Good Samaritan Medical Center offers an inviting work culture that emphasizes professional development, health, and work-life balance. Employees benefit from comprehensive packages that include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with a 401(k) retirement savings plan featuring an employer match. Additional perks include generous paid time off, career advancement opportunities, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, and discount programs. Voluntary benefits such as pet insurance, legal insurance, accident and critical illness insurance, long-term care, elder and childcare services, as well as auto and home insurance, are also offered. Benefit eligibility varies by location and employment status, further tailoring the experience to meet individual employee needs.

The role available at Good Samaritan Medical Center is for a Newbern Concierge, a full-time day position focused on delivering personalized non-clinical services to patients and their families. The Concierge plays a critical role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and positive overall experience of patients throughout their hospital stay. This position mainly operates within inpatient care areas, coordinating a variety of ancillary needs by collaborating with multiple departments such as Food and Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, and Plant Operations. In addition, the Concierge works closely with the clinical care team to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.

This job uniquely integrates hospitality principles into the healthcare setting. By anticipating patient needs and fostering a welcoming and healing environment, the Concierge helps create a positive, service-oriented atmosphere that supports patient recovery. Beyond these core functions, the Concierge is also responsible for performing other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness in a dynamic hospital environment.

The Newbern Concierge position at Good Samaritan Medical Center is ideal for individuals with a background in customer service or hospitality, particularly those who are passionate about enhancing the patient experience. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and prefers candidates with prior experience in relevant service-oriented roles. This opportunity provides an enriching work environment within a respected healthcare facility where employees can contribute meaningfully to patient care and hospital operations.
