The Concierge role at Covenant Medical Center is pivotal in shaping the visitor experience, acting as the welcoming face and the first point of contact for guests, patients, employees, and caregivers. The Concierge is responsible for delivering exceptional, second-mile customer service that upholds Providence’s promise: "Know me. Care for me. Ease my way." This role is patient-centered and focuses on creating an inclusive, supportive atmosphere by facilitating smooth access, navigation, and information flow throughout the hospital and surrounding campus businesses. By leveraging extensive knowledge of the hospital’s operations and nearby services, the Concierge helps ease the journey for anyone entering the facility, providing a warm and uplifting presence from the moment they arrive.
In addition to greeting visitors, the Concierge manages the overall flow of the lobby area, promptly addressing any issues or irregularities by following established protocols such as the "see something, say something" policy. The Concierge ensures that hospital policies and procedures are enforced, collaborating closely with leadership and other department partners to triage and resolve operational challenges. This position is vital during urgent staffing situations and emergency preparedness, as the Concierge participates as an integral member of a rapid response team.

- one year of related hospitality sector experience providing exceptional customer service
- knowledge of hospital layout and services

- basic computer skills
Job Qualifications
- one year of related hospitality sector experience providing exceptional customer service dealing extensively with the public
- one year of experience in healthcare preferred
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to manage lobby flow and triage operational issues
- knowledge of hospital services and surrounding community resources
- ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- commitment to patient-centered, whole-person care
Job Duties
- provide second-mile service to all guests ensuring a patient-centric experience
- ease the way for patients, guests, and caregivers by providing information and access control
- act as the first point of contact for guests and patients setting a positive and warm tone
- use extensive knowledge of hospital areas and surrounding businesses to support wayfinding and requests
- oversee overall flow of the lobby addressing issues through "see something, say something" best practice
- enforce ministry policies and procedures involving appropriate partners and leadership
- serve as a member of a deployable team for urgent staffing and emergency preparedness
