As critical institutions within Ventura County, VCMC and SPH emphasize creating a healing environment that promotes patient safety, comfort, and well-being. These hospitals uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation to protect patients, staff, and visitors, thus ensuring the best possible healthcare experience for all who enter their facilities.

The role requires physical stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks that may involve lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds and completing a broad range of body movements such as reaching, bending, grasping, and climbing. Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, is necessary to ensure hospital operations continue smoothly.

Moreover, the Housekeeper I position is represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), offering overtime eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package that supports employees’ well-being and professional growth.
