Job Description

Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving lives through organ and tissue donation. Established in 1986, Gift of Hope has been the vital bridge between donors and recipients, making a profound impact on thousands of individuals and families. To date, the organization has directly saved over 30,000 lives through organ donations and enhanced the quality of life for hundreds of thousands more through tissue donations. The organization operates with a compassionate mission to help people see again, walk again, heal faster, and live pain-free lives.

Gift of Hope is currently seeking a Hospital Development Liaison (Donation Coordinator) to join its mission-driven team. This is a field-based position with a focus on a defined territory within Lake County, Indiana. The role requires regular travel within the assigned territory to hospital facilities and demands a strong commitment to developing and maintaining effective relationships with key hospital leadership staff. The Hospital Development Liaison will play an integral role in implementing hospital programs and policies that support and promote organ and tissue donation.

The Hospital Development Liaison serves as the face and voice of Gift of Hope within their portfolio of assigned hospitals. This dynamic role combines relationship-building, education, data analysis, and direct involvement in the organ donation process to ensure the best possible donation outcomes. The liaison is responsible for assessing and evaluating potential organ donors on-site, coordinating with hospital leadership teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within hospital donation processes. This position offers the opportunity to work autonomously while making a tangible, life-saving impact in the communities served.

In this role, the Hospital Development Liaison will be responsible for analyzing data and preparing reports on donation performance, delivering educational programs to hospital staff, and participating in medical rounds with neuro and trauma teams. They will also coordinate patient care conferences at critical stages of the donation process and develop creative solutions to overcome challenges associated with organ and tissue donation.

The position offers an annual compensation range of $73,657 to $82,865, reflecting the importance and impact of the work. Gift of Hope supports its employees with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance options, generous paid time off, a 403(b) retirement plan with company match, tuition reimbursement, and various wellness programs. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who wishes to combine their skills in business development, marketing, or healthcare administration with a passion for making a significant difference in people’s lives.
