Job Description

Japan Tobacco International (JTI) is a leading international tobacco company that prides itself on embracing diversity and fostering an inclusive work environment. Employing around 46,000 people worldwide, JTI continuously empowers its employees to build their unique success stories and develop their careers in an inspiring and supportive atmosphere. With a strong corporate culture that emphasizes happiness and employee well-being, 83 percent of JTI’s workforce report satisfaction in their work environment. JTI is committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels a strong sense of belonging and is encouraged to bring their best human qualities to contribute to the company's global success.

The role of HoReCa & Events Lead Manager – Reduced Risk Products (RRP) is a pioneering opportunity at JTI Liggett within the United States. This position entails establishing the HoReCa & Events pillar from the ground up to drive the USA’s Reduced Risk Products strategy. Reduced Risk Products include modern oral products, e-vapor, and heated tobacco that offer potentially less harmful alternatives to traditional smoking. The HoReCa & Events Lead Manager will play a vital role in identifying and securing strategic partnerships to support JTI Liggett’s RRP objectives and expansion across key locations in the US.

As the lead manager, you will define priority activation locations aligned with brand strategy and target audiences, overseeing a multi-location team to deliver impactful brand experiences on the ground. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including Brand, Strategic Insights, Consumer Programs, and Sales to design and execute seamless consumer journeys from acquisition to retention. You will establish and manage a one-to-one external partner model encompassing recruitment, hiring, training, and coaching to ensure effective and consistent consumer activation.

This leadership role comes with responsibility for budget management, maximizing return on investment, and ensuring alignment with both local and global financial requirements. You will also contribute to the overall RRP Consumer Activation Strategy and work closely with marketing, commercial planning, finance, corporate affairs, communications, and headquarters stakeholders. Given the strategic nature of this role, the ideal candidate must have strong project management capabilities, negotiation skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams.

Joining JTI offers access to a dynamic, inclusive, and growth-oriented workplace environment. The company fosters professional development with comprehensive benefits such as performance bonuses, employee stock purchase plans, comprehensive insurance packages, generous paid time off, and support for education and wellbeing. This role is a unique chance to build and lead a new pillar for JTI’s RRP business in the US, combining strategic vision with operational excellence, and contributing significantly to the transformation of the tobacco industry towards reduced risk alternatives.
