Job Description
EDITION Hotels is a unique and innovative hotel brand that seamlessly blends luxury with boutique-style hospitality. Founded through a collaboration between visionary hotelier Ian Schrager and Marriott International, EDITION Hotels strive to deliver unparalleled experiences to sophisticated and discerning guests. With locations worldwide, each EDITION hotel is meticulously designed to balance elegance with individuality, combining world-class service, original design, and exceptional comfort. This brand caters to travelers who demand quality, originality, and excellence without constraints, creating environments that feel both exclusive and welcoming.
Located at 500 Channelside Dr, Tampa, Florida, the EDITION Hotel in Tampa exemplifies this commitment to exceptional hospitality. It is a full-time, non-management opportunity situated within a vibrant and modern setting. The culture at EDITION fosters a warm and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging team members to bring their authentic selves to work, contribute creatively, and grow professionally within the larger Marriott International family.
The role available is centered around ensuring guests have positive experiences with the in-room honor bar. This position is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of inventory, cleanliness, and presentation for the honor bars across guest rooms. The individual will be responsible for managing inventory of honor bar items, room accessories, and promotional materials — restocking and replacing them as necessary to guarantee availability and maintain quality.
Attention to detail is essential as the role requires monitoring product availability, checking expiration dates, and avoiding out-of-stock situations. Preparing and maneuvering the restock cart to the guest floors is a key operational duty, as well as responding promptly and professionally to guest requests related to the honor bar services. The role also involves maintaining clear communication with hotel management regarding any operational issues or concerns.
Working at EDITION means upholding all company safety policies, ensuring a professional and polished appearance, and protecting confidential company information and assets. Greeting and assisting guests warmly, anticipating guest service needs, and consistently exceeding quality control standards are core to daily responsibilities. Positive teamwork, effective communication, and the willingness to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, and navigating narrow or elevated spaces are integral to this role.
Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or equivalent such as a GED, but no prior experience in similar roles or supervisory positions is required, making this role accessible to motivated individuals eager to begin a career in hospitality. Marriott International is profoundly committed to diversity, equality, and inclusion, fostering an environment where all employees feel welcomed and valued. EDITION Hotels proudly embrace this ethos, inviting uniquely talented individuals to contribute to a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
Joining EDITION means becoming part of a global brand portfolio within Marriott International, where opportunities for personal and professional growth abound. Here, employees can perform their best work, find meaningful purpose in their roles, and connect with an incredible worldwide team, all while evolving into their best versions. This role offers an extraordinary gateway to a career in luxury hospitality with a brand that redefines the guest experience through innovation and heartfelt service.
