Job Description

Our hotel, located in the vibrant heart of Downtown Utah, is perfectly positioned just one block from The Gateway's popular shops and restaurants. We are less than a mile from major attractions like Vivint Arena and the Salt Palace Convention Center, with Temple Square only a mile away and outdoor destinations such as the Canyons Ski Resorts and the Great Salt Lake within 30 miles. We provide pet-friendly suites, a complimentary daily breakfast, and a welcoming evening social event every Wednesday. Our commitment to excellence in guest service sets us apart, but it is our team that truly defines us. We foster a supportive and collaborative work culture where every team member is valued, encouraged, and celebrated. Monthly team-building activities strengthen our connections and promote a sense of family among our staff. Joining our team means more than a job; it means an opportunity to grow, succeed, and belong.

As the Director of Sales, you will be the visionary leader who drives our hotel's sales and marketing initiatives to new heights. This role is pivotal in filling our rooms, boosting revenue, and inspiring a high-performing sales team that thrives on collaboration and achievement. You will be an energetic and creative force, responsible for designing and executing bold marketing strategies and campaigns that position our hotel as the top choice in the city. Your leadership will extend beyond sales as you mentor and develop a diverse sales team, fostering an environment of enthusiasm and continuous improvement.

This is an overtime eligible manager (OEM) role, which means overtime is applicable and compensated accordingly. Your days may be dynamic and full, requiring a hands-on approach as you engage with clients through sales calls, tours, and strategic meetings. You'll serve as a key ambassador for the hotel, working closely with other departments and supporting the General Manager in maintaining a positive and stylish brand image. Your ability to network like a local legend, negotiate effectively, and manage operations with flair will be essential to your success. If you are passionate about sales, leadership, and hospitality, and eager to lead with energy and creativity, this position offers a thrilling opportunity to make a tangible impact and celebrate every milestone with your team.
