Job Description

Our establishment is a premier hotel located in the heart of Utah's capital, Downtown Salt Lake City. Situated just one block from The Gateway's popular shops and restaurants, our hotel offers convenient access to major attractions such as Vivint Arena and the Salt Palace Convention Center, both less than a mile away. Guests can also enjoy easy excursions to Temple Square a mile away, the Canyons Ski Resorts, and the Great Salt Lake within 30 miles of the property. This pet-friendly hotel provides comfortable suites, daily complimentary breakfast, and a complimentary evening social event every Wednesday. We pride ourselves not only on delivering exceptional guest experiences but also on fostering a strong team culture that promotes collaboration, support, and mutual growth. Each month, the staff participates in team-building activities and celebrations to strengthen relationships and create a vibrant workplace community.

As the Director of Sales, you will play a key role in driving the hotel's revenue and guest bookings through innovative sales and marketing strategies. The position is designed for an energetic leader who thrives on creativity, goal-setting, and motivating a diverse team. In this overtime eligible manager (OEM) role, you will manage sales campaigns, assemble and mentor a dynamic sales team, and maintain strong client relationships through engaging presentations and networking activities. You will also collaborate closely with other departments, acting as a vital ambassador for the hotel’s brand and operational success. Your ability to develop budgets, forecast sales performance, and implement effective marketing initiatives will be essential to making our hotel the premier destination for visitors to Utah's capital.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with at least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience or a combination of education and related sales expertise. The position requires excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and a strategic mindset. The Director of Sales will not only lead the team to achieve ambitious sales targets but also inspire a work culture filled with positivity, creativity, and celebration. Overtime pay applies according to applicable laws, reflecting the demanding but rewarding nature of the role.

Joining our team means becoming part of a supportive family that values success, teamwork, and personal development. We offer a competitive benefits package after an initial waiting period, including medical, dental, vision coverage, disability income protection, life insurance, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and a 401k retirement plan. Daily pay options are also available for added flexibility. If you are a motivated sales leader looking for an exciting and impactful role in the hospitality industry, we invite you to bring your talents to our vibrant hotel where both guests and team members feel valued and celebrated.
