This specific position is for a Homemaker within the Child Care/Pre-School program, a critical role that emphasizes nutrition and child wellness according to established Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines. The Homemaker will be responsible for planning and preparing healthy meals and snacks that meet federal and program regulations aimed at promoting proper nutrition among young children. This is a non-exempt, full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with compensation ranging between $19.50 and $20.15 per hour. The Homemaker will operate under the supervision of the Nutrition Program Manager and Site Supervisor, ensuring that all food preparation and serving activities comply with safety, sanitary, and health standards.

The core responsibilities center on meal preparation, inventory management, sanitation, and accurate record-keeping while maintaining a warm and respectful atmosphere for children in care. This role requires adherence to strict guidelines to safeguard food quality and safety, including monitoring food temperatures and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. The Homemaker also participates in ongoing training and attends staff meetings, enhancing their skills and aligning with updates in nutrition practices. Other duties extend to light housekeeping tasks related to the kitchen area and supportive roles during meal service.

MAOF seeks a Homemaker who is organized, reliable, and able to work effectively under limited supervision. Fluency in both Spanish and English is required to ensure clear communication within the community being served. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a genuine dedication to fostering a positive environment shaped by care and respect for children.
