A client based in the vibrant city of San Francisco is seeking a highly skilled Private Chef for two exclusive luncheons scheduled in August at a private residence located in Rutherford, Napa County, California. This unique opportunity allows culinary professionals to showcase their talent in a scenic wine country setting, serving intimate gatherings with an emphasis on California cuisine. Job Requirements

  • minimum of 3 years culinary experience
  • ability to prepare gluten-free meals
  • knowledge of ingredients that do not include hot spices
  • capacity to work during scheduled event dates in August
  • own transportation to the Napa County residence
  • valid food handler’s certification recommended
  • flexibility to accommodate client requests and menu changes

Job Qualifications

  • experience as a private chef or in a similar catering role
  • strong knowledge of California cuisine and dietary restrictions
  • ability to plan menus for children and adults
  • excellent organizational and time management skills
  • ability to work independently
  • good communication skills to liaise with clients
  • preferred experience bringing a serving assistant

Job Duties

  • planning and executing California cuisine menus
  • shopping for necessary ingredients
  • preparing the luncheons at the private residence
  • ensuring dietary restrictions are met for gluten-free and no hot spices
  • cleaning up after the luncheons
  • coordinating with the client to confirm menu preferences
  • optionally bringing an assistant to help with serving
