Job Requirements

  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
  • National Food Handler Card upon hire
  • 3 years working in high volume, full service restaurant or institutional food service facility in production cooking capacity
  • 2 years experience working from scratch recipes and prepping and portioning items
  • Experience working successfully in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
  • National Food Handler Card upon hire
  • Minimum 3 years experience in high-volume, full service restaurant or institutional food service facility in production cooking
  • 2 years experience working from scratch recipes and preparing and portioning production items
  • Experience working successfully in a team to achieve goals
  • Preferred experience assisting with recipe development and creation of daily specials
  • Experience using food production software and updating recipes
  • Leadership experience as a production lead or similar role
  • Experience in USDA or HACCP production facility
  • Diversified cooking experience including line, grill, broiler, production, soup or sauté cook
  • Optional formal culinary education of 12-18 months

Job Duties

  • Prepare hot and cold food items using a variety of prep and production cooking equipment
  • Follow scratch recipes and department specifications
  • Set up, stock, and clean service areas
  • Use proper food handling techniques to prep items
  • Serve food service guests courteously and efficiently
  • Collaborate successfully in a team environment
  • Maintain compliance with food safety standards including USDA and HACCP guidelines
