Job Description

Jovie BOSTON is a dynamic and compassionate caregiving company dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to families, children, and seniors throughout Boston and its surrounding communities. As a franchise operating within a wide service area that includes Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Lexington, Winchester, Arlington, Belmont, Watertown, Waltham, Malden, Medford, Melrose, Wakefield, Somerville, Chelsea, Charlestown, Jamaica Plain, Roxbury, Revere, Everett, Essex County, Andover, Reading, Burlington, Chelmsford, Lowell, Haverhill, Lynn, Stoneham, the entire North Shore, and even New Hampshire, Jovie BOSTON is committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those who need care and companionship. The company prides itself on fostering a supportive environment for both clients and caregivers alike, hiring W2 employees to ensure benefits, payroll management, tax handling, and workers' compensation coverage — eliminating the hassles typically associated with freelance caregiving gigs.

As a caregiver at Jovie BOSTON, you will become part of a vibrant, fun, and proactive team that brings warmth, reliability, and enthusiasm to every role. This position offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time scheduling, empowering caregivers to balance their personal lives with rewarding work. Utilizing the innovative My Jovie app, caregivers have the liberty to set their own availability, and Jovie BOSTON matches them with suitable shifts, creating the ultimate flexible work environment. The role is designed for those who thrive on building engaging and loving atmospheres, from executing creative activities with children — such as games, storytelling, and crafts — to providing supportive companionship to seniors, assisting with light tasks and enhancing their quality of life.

The culture at Jovie BOSTON is unique, centered on community and inclusivity. Caregivers are connected through online networks and occasional gatherings, fostering a sense of belonging while maintaining the independence of working in various homes. The company's core mission is to recruit reliable, engaging, and caring individuals who excel in creating positive, safe environments where families feel supported. Whether you are passionate about childcare or senior care, Jovie BOSTON values your desire to make a genuine difference daily.

Starting pay for caregiver positions is competitive at $20.00 per hour, with options for 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts primarily from Monday through Friday, though weekend shifts and on-call work are available for those seeking additional opportunities. To join the Jovie BOSTON team, candidates need a minimum of two years of combined caregiving experience across childcare, nannying, babysitting, or senior care. Applicants must also be at least 18 years old, willing to commit to twenty or more hours per week during the 7 am to 7 pm window to ensure optimal scheduling matches. Reliable transportation is highly encouraged due to the travel component between client homes.

Joining Jovie BOSTON means embarking on a fulfilling career that blends the joy of caregiving with the freedom of flexible scheduling, guaranteed employment status, and a supportive, community-driven company culture. This role is ideal for caregivers who want to be everyday heroes making a tangible impact for both children and seniors, while enjoying the perks of dependable pay, benefits, and a dedicated team cheering you on every step of the way.
