Job Requirements

Effective communication in English, both verbal and written
neat and professional appearance
attention to detail and accuracy
interaction skills with customers, public and co-workers
ability to use a computer and/or cash register
ability to obtain and maintain knowledge of company rules, policies and procedures
minimum age of 21 years
ability to obtain and maintain knowledge of venue's menu
ability to qualify for required licenses and permits
ability to work under time constraints and within deadlines
ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance
work indoors in a climate-controlled environment
exposure to noise, dust and smoke

Job Duties

Greet customers in a prompt and courteous manner and thank them upon departure
determine the number in a party, accurately post transaction on cash register, and make appropriate change
seat as quickly as possible, ensure guest comfort during waiting periods
properly rotate server stations when seating guests
assist service staff in clearing, cleaning, and setting tables
make sure all areas are clean and free of debris
fill condiments as needed
answer telephones using proper phone etiquette
count out cash drawer at end of shift
perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
ensure all Rio Hotel & Casino core values and standards are implemented and applied
